Plan Your Visit
Welcome to Richmond Country Farms — located at 12900 Steveston Highway, Richmond, BC V6W 1A3. Conveniently positioned just off Steveston Highway and Highway 99, we’re easy to reach for a quick stop or a full afternoon of exploring.
Choose Your Day & Season
Our market runs through the peak growing season, typically daily from morning until early evening (around 9 a.m.–8 p.m.). Hours may vary due to weather, events or holidays, so we recommend checking our current schedule before you head over. In summer you’ll find fresh berries, corn and vibrant produce; in the fall you’ll find pumpkins, squash and the kinds of vegetables that beg for a cozy dinner.
Beyond the everyday market, we host two major seasonal events: the Sunflower Festival and the Pumpkin Patch. These are ticketed, feature special attractions and are worth planning for if you’re looking for something extra.
How to Get Here
By car: From Highway 99, take the Steveston Highway exit heading east. Follow Steveston Highway until you see our signs and barns at 12900 — plenty of on-site parking is available.
By transit: Take the Canada Line to Richmond–Brighouse Station and then transfer to a bus travelling along Steveston Highway. Several routes stop near Steveston Hwy & No. 6 Road, and from there it’s a short walk to the entrance. Check your transit app on the day to find the best connection.
By bike: If you prefer two wheels, consider riding along Richmond’s dyke and quieter farm-road paths, and join Steveston Highway for the last leg. Lock your bike at the market and enjoy your visit hands-free.
Parking & On-Site Flow
We offer free on-site parking, directly adjacent to our barn and market area. On normal market days you can expect an easy arrival and walk-in. During our larger seasonal events (like the Pumpkin Patch), lots fill faster and the atmosphere is more active — arriving earlier is a good strategy.
We suggest beginning at the main market barn, then exploring the outdoor produce stands, plant displays and other areas. Located next door is the winery, if you would like to enjoy a glass or a charcuterie while you’re here.
Accessibility & Comfort
The barn and courtyard are designed to be stroller and wheelchair-accessible, with wide aisles, level entries and accessible washrooms.
That said — as you venture into our fields or outlying outdoor areas, you’ll encounter grass, soil and occasionally gravel. Closed-toed shoes or boots help make the visit more comfortable.
Food & Refreshments
Our market is focused on produce and farm retail first, not a full-service restaurant. You’ll find fresh local fruits, vegetables, pantry items and plants. At the winery next door you’ll find wine tastings and light snacks, especially during event seasons when food trucks and snack vendors join in.
Kids, Groups & Pets
Families are welcome. You’ll see children choosing produce, exploring the outdoors and enjoying time together. If you’re attending with a bigger group or planning for an event (e.g., wine tasting or festival), advance planning helps.
Well-behaved, leashed pets are permitted in designated outdoor areas.
What to Bring
- Sturdy bags, crates or bins: Your trunk (and arms) will thank you when you load up on corn, squash or large plants.
- Closed-toe shoes or boots: The outdoor areas aren’t always paved; comfort and safety go hand in hand.
- Layers and sun protection: Our location sees sun, breeze and changing light. A light jacket and hat do a lot.
- Water bottle: Especially if you plan to explore or pair your visit with the winery patio.
- Small cooler bag: Ideal for keeping berries or greens crisp if you’re heading elsewhere afterward.
- Hand wipes or sanitizer: Between produce, field touches and snack stops, handy to have.
