🍂 “The” Place for Pumpkins — Trip Details & Fun

Every fall, thousands of students—especially preschool and elementary—visit Richmond Country Farms to experience our Pumpkin Patch magic. All ages are welcome, though many trips are tailored for young learners.

Here’s everything your group can expect:

• Costumed entertainers like Polly Pumpkin and Strawberry Shortcake
• Our Farm Band, The Country Pumpkins, plus talented wagon entertainers
• Sing along to music in the hay, boogie past the duck ponds, and wander through whimsical décor
• Gorgeous fields ornamented with corn stalks, sunflowers, and authentic old buildings relocated from Transylvania

🐷 Animals & Nature

Before pumpkin picking, students can visit our animal viewing area featuring friendly farm animals. (Note: touching/feeding is not allowed.)

Plus: hay wagons give you rides to the patch, passing duck ponds and waterfalls along the way.

At the end of the visit: enjoy a crisp, locally-grown Spartan apple as a snack. 🍏

🚸 Safety & What to Bring

• Groups must stay together in designated areas; no unaccompanied walk-ons when wagons and machinery are moving
• Dress for farm conditions: appropriate footwear (boots), warm layers, rain gear when needed
• Bring something for muddy car seats—often the best costumes and boots get dirty!

👩🏫 Teachers, Leaders & Supervisors

• One teacher/leader per 10 elementary school children enters free for ride & entertainment
• Leaders/adults helping special-needs students may enter without charge similarly

🧰 Booking & Payment Info

• Students:  $10.00 each

  Teachers: one complimentary per 10 paid student admissions

  Additional parents/chaperones $10.00 each

  All prices are subject to applicable taxes

  We no longer provide carrying bags due to the plastic ban in the city of Richmond.

• Be ready for your reserved start time—late arrivals can disrupt the schedule
• Teacher or group leader must count people (kids & adults) and bring payment to the ticket booth
• Accepted forms: School cheque, Visa, Mastercard, Debit
• Not accepted: Bags of change or cash rolls—pre-collect funds if possible

🗺 How to Find Us

From B.C.: exit Steveston Highway off Highway 99 (Richmond side of Massey Tunnel), about 6 km from the south end of the Oak Street Bridge. We’re on the southeast corner, right beside the freeway.
